"Original and unmissable!"

"Notes of tangerine, peach, white flowers and wheat toast foreshadow the latest interpretation of Gosset's Grand Rosé, a medium- to full-bodied, mellow and charming wine with a fleshy core of fruit, chalky structure and tart freshness. Elegantly vinous and flavorful, this is a great success." (Wine Advocate 2021). A benchmark champagne for lovers of great rosé champagnes!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated 16/20 (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)

About the wine:

With a salmon eye, this rosé sets the salience of the Chardonnays and the fruity structure of the Pinot Noirs, while the red wines from Bouzy and Ambonnay delicately perfume with blackcurrant buds, raspberry candy and black cherry. The light scents of black truffle and licorice are undoubtedly oriented towards fine gastronomy. The mouth, lovingly sculpted by acidity, develops a pleasantly bitter finish. Ideal from aperitif to fresh red fruit dessert.

About the domain :

Gosset remains a small house in the world of Champagne giants, with an average of one million bottles sold each year. At the head of the technical team is a dynamic duo, Odilon de Varine and Gabrielle Malagu, for a range that remains true to its fundamentals: freshness, liveliness and minerality. To stay the course, despite recent climate changes and higher grape ripeness, the house now favors Chardonnay in its blends, with a smaller share of Pinot Noir to keep the final taste consistent. With its homogeneity and assertive style, the range, which offers numerous cuvées, including some from long-aged wines, deserved to be rewarded with an extra star. The house is back at the top of our hierarchy.

Domaine noté (guide 2025) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the wine:

Half-Chardonnay, half-Pinot Noir (8% red wine), a blended rosé that has been cellared for 3 years. Pale salmon with coppery tints, it pleases with its freshness and complex expression of strawberry, brioche and spice notes.

About the domain :

The "oldest house in Champagne" was founded in 1584 by Pierre Gosset, an alderman and vineyard owner from Aÿ, before the region's wine began to take off. At the time, the town's wines, often red, rivaled those of Beaune at court. After Pierre Gosset, 13 generations followed. Now based in Épernay, the company has been part of the Renaud-Cointreau group since 1993. Gosset champagnes do not undergo malolactic fermentation. In 2016, assistant manager and oenologist Odilon de Varine took over from Jean-Pierre Mareigner. He was joined the following year by Gabrielle Malagu, to whom he entrusted joint responsibility for the winery at the end of 2022.

Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the wine:

Grand Rosé, in a more primary style, is an excellent brut sans année rosé.

About the domain :

Champagne's oldest wine house, founded in 1584, has been owned by the Renaud-Cointreau group since 1994. Now under the leadership of Odilon de Varine and Gabrielle Bouby-Malagu in the cellar, it stands out for the regular production of intense, powerful wines with a fine tension that balances them and enables them to age harmoniously.
