"What a masterpiece!"

"The bubbles are delicate and the wine is crystal clear. The lovely, refined palette reflects the quality of the 2013 vintage. The wine displays a mineral depth that highlights the aromas of chalk and hazelnut. Notes of cereal biscuit and baker's yeast reinforce this complexity. On the palate, the tension and length are worthy of a great wine." (Le Guide RVF 2024)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)

About the estate:

Brought to the top by the Chiquet brothers, Laurent and Jean-Hervé, the house is the standard-bearer for champagne for discerning wine lovers. François Pinault recently acquired a stake in the house. We recommend these great, deep, and distinguished champagnes. Each new cuvée 700 (now 743) is a major creation and receives the utmost attention. It is then left to age under cork before reappearing in a DT (late disgorgement) version. The ultimate reverberation parcels come from Dizy (Corne-Bautray, Chardonnay), Aÿ (Vauzelle-Terme, Pinot Noir) and Avize (Champ-Caïn, Chardonnay), and are only produced when the conditions are optimal. The 2009 vintage has an exemplary lively warmth and endless depth. Magnificent.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (These represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)

About wine:

The bubbles are delicate and the wine is crystal clear. The lovely, refined palette reflects the quality of the 2013 vintage. The wine displays a mineral depth that highlights the aromas of chalk and hazelnut. Notes of cereal biscuit and baker's yeast reinforce this complexity. On the palate, the tension and length are worthy of a great wine.

About the estate:

A new chapter in history is beginning with the departure of brothers Laurent and Jean-Hervé Chiquet, who elevated this fine house to the upper echelons of Champagne. The Artémis group has now taken over the reins under the leadership of Jean Garandeau, but the teams remain unchanged: Yann Le Gall, cellar master, and Mathilde Perrier, vineyard manager, are still there to perpetuate the spirit of the house. The 700 cuvées represent the majority of production. What a long way we have come since the release of 728, from the 2000 vintage! The estate releases a late disgorgement every year, the first of which was 733, based on the 2005 vintage. Only a few small batches are produced, depending on the quality of the vintage.
