"Great art!"
"The bubbles are delicate and the whole is crystalline. The lovely, refined palette reflects the quality of the 2013 vintage. The wine displays a mineral depth that underlines the chalk and hazelnut aromas. Notes of cereal cookie and baker's yeast reinforce this complexity. On the palate, the tension and length are worthy of a great wine". (Le Guide RVF 2024)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
Brought to the top by the Chiquet brothers, Laurent and Jean-Hervé, the house is the champagne standard-bearer for discerning oenophiles. Recently, François Pinault acquired a stake in the house. We recommend these deep, racy champagnes. Each new cuvée 700 (now 743) is a major creation, and every attention is paid to it. It then waits on corks before reappearing in a DT version (late disgorgement). The ultimate reverberation parcels come from Dizy (Corne-Bautray, chardonnay), Aÿ (Vauzelle-Terme, pinot noir) and Avize (Champ-Caïn, chardonnay), and are only created when the identity situation is optimal. The 2009s are exemplary in their lively warmth and endless depth. Grandiose.

About the domain :
A new page of history is written with the departure of brothers Laurent and Jean-Hervé Chiquet, who lifted this fine house into the upper echelons of Champagne. The Artémis group has now taken over the reins under the direction of Jean Garandeau, but the teams remain unchanged: Yann Le Gall, cellar master, and Mathilde Perrier, vineyard manager, are still there to perpetuate the soul of the house. The 700 cuvées account for the bulk of production. We've come a long way since 728, produced from the 2000 vintage! The estate releases a late disgorgement every year, the first of which was 733, based on 2005. Only a few parcel productions are produced, depending on the quality of the vintage.
