Champagne Nicolas Maillart

Nicolas Maillart comes from a long line of winemakers dating back to 1753. He represents a passionate and dynamic ninth generation, continuing a tradition spanning almost 300 years, whose sole aim has been to express the potential of the Champagne terroirs in their wines.

The Nicolas Maillart vineyard is located exclusively on premier and grand cru sites in the Montagne de Reims, with fairly old vines, mostly planted halfway up the hillside, which is ideal for producing great wines. The Nicolas Maillart vineyard has a high proportion of Pinot Noir (75%), complemented by Chardonnay. Nicolas Maillart has also opted for sustainable, environmentally friendly viticulture.

Vinification and aging take place either in vats or barrels, depending on the origin of the grapes. Reserve wines are also partially aged in barrels to give them greater complexity. Nicolas Maillart thus produces Champagnes of consistent quality, while allowing himself to set aside some very original and particularly expressive wines. Finally, long cellaring allows Nicolas Maillart wines to express themselves to their fullest potential.
