"A lemony sweetness to be served chilled!
"The 2021 Muscat is a worthy successor to the 2017, also consecrated Favorite. Born from a selection of plots located on the E Croce terroir, it unreservedly delivers its scents of white flowers and honey. Comfortable, full-bodied, imbued with pure fruit and unforgettable length, the palate perfectly assumes its 120 g/l of residual sugar. A sensual sweetness, to be sipped on its own or with blue-veined cheese". (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the wine:
Muscat 2021 is the worthy successor to 2017, also consecrated Favorite. Born from a selection of plots located on the E Croce terroir, it unreservedly delivers its scents of white flowers and honey. Comfortable, full-bodied, imbued with pure fruit and unforgettable length, the palate perfectly assumes its 120 g/l of residual sugar. About the domain :
Yves Leccia, an oenologist involved in the revival and promotion of island wines, set up his own estate in 2005, after running the family business with his sister for some fifteen years. Today, with his wife Sandrine, he manages a 16-hectare vineyard on clay-limestone and schist soils in Poggio-d'Oletta. Certified organic since 2017, it is one of the pillars of the Patrimonio appellation, which is also often recognized for its Muscats.

Wine rated (guide 2024) 93/100
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Bright, light gold. A decoction of citrus fruits, citron and mandarin, with great freshness and purity. This Muscat has a beautiful profile as a natural sweet wine. It seduces with its crisp, indulgent character and that fine, refreshing natural liqueur that coats your palate with finesse. Perfect as an aperitif, or with a salad of yellow and white fruit. It's the ballerina of Muscat, elegant and on point!
About the domain :
Yves Leccia and his partner Sandrine run a vineyard located mainly on the E Croce and Partinelone plots. The land is ploughed and tilled, and organic fertilizers are used. In recent years, the estate has innovated with new wines such as O Bà, Biancu Marinu and L'Altru Biancu. These carefully-crafted wines remain good ambassadors for Corsican vineyards, but care must be taken not to erase too much of their individuality: some of the wines, more formatted than in the past, give pride of place to technicality.

About the wine:
Very sweet! It's a kind of sweet Limoncello, with notes of lemon marmalade and lemon syrup, but without the bitterness that contributes to the balance and perception of sweetness. It should be very, very chilled, because chilling it, unlike most wines, brings out the complexity and layers of aromas. Lychee, white currants, golden fig and Cape gooseberry jam. A little greenery, like matcha tea powder. A whiff of cumin and fennel seeds. Dried tarragon. Candied angelica. I'd serve it with a pineapple cheesecake.
