"The Monte Hiniesta 2011 is made from six parcels of 65-year-old vines cultivated biodynamically. It offers a magnificent, lively bouquet of wild strawberry, maraschino cherry and plum, all very well defined. The palate is succulent on the attack, with mellow tannins, lively acidity and a compact, fruity finish, and deserves another two years to unfold. The finish is very long, with notes of spice and white pepper. A great bottle. Drink through 2020. (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Drunk in 08/20. Very dark colour. Rather fine nose; well-structured, well-balanced, velvety mouthfeel. The DO Toro appears suitable for laying down.

Not very fruity nose with a hint of nutmeg. Flat palate - no attack or mid-palate, a little fruit on the finish - a wine of no interest that should probably have been drunk - and therefore sold - beforehand. Or maybe it's a bottle problem, but I'm leaning towards the 1st hypothesis.

Do you like fruity wines? Here's fruit as if it were raining fruit. A wine that's neither light nor subtle, but in style it's not bad at all.
