"Prima 2013 is a blend of Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) and Grenache. 2013 was a cooler vintage, which resulted in slower ripening of the Toro grapes. Bright ruby in color, the nose is fresher, earthier, presenting fresh vegetal aromas with red fruit and mineral notes on aeration, where graphite, peat and a few hints are reminiscent of a classic Bordeaux wine. The palate is medium-bodied, with very fine tannins and lovely acidity; this is a very elegant, balanced, fresh and easy-drinking wine." (Wine Advocate 2015- Robert Parker)

"The San Roman 2012 is made from the oldest vines in their Toro vineyard. They have reduced the amount of new wood in this cuvée. The aromas are very mineral on red clay, iron, a mix of plum, black and red cherries and again an earthy touch, elegant and complex, developing hints of almond with time. The palate is fleshy, fresher than 2011, with very fine tannins and very good acidity. This is a superb version of San Roman. It's one of the few Toro wines that really improves with age." "Terreus 2012 is a parcel selection of old Tempranillo vines in the village of Tudela de Duero. [...] The color is dark, ruby, brilliant (not black at all). The nose is very precise, with aromas of red berries, subtle and complex, with a lovely freshness. The palate is less spectacular than in previous vintages; tighter and more serious, with fine balance. It has everything it takes to age well in bottle. [...] With this new style, the wine can be enjoyed now, but will gain in complexity and depth if you have the patience to keep your bottles. It looks likethere will be no Terreus in 2013." (2011 vintage notes)

Both majestic and discreet, this Tempranillo selection reveals floral and fruity aromas. The palate is dense, full-bodied, with firm tannins that add depth to this cuvée. After a long barrel ageing, youth and spice mingle in the glass.

"Floral, fresh and balanced, Mauro 2013 is far less extracted and oaky than in some previous vintages; it's more transparent and precise. The wine is round with a lovely freshness, and lighter than other vintages. Fresh on the palate, with good balance and acidity. Mauro regulars looking for power and concentration may be disappointed, but for those looking for a more drinkable Mauro, you'll be delighted with this 2013. One month less in barrel compared to previous vintages, for an ageing process more respectful of this lighter vintage." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)
