Drink or Keep
This cuvée gets off the beaten track by using an indigenous grape variety, Assyrtiko. Its aromatic nose reveals coconut and gunflint. The palate, with its ample structure, is perfectly balanced between fatness and a liveliness reminiscent of crunchy berries. The finish is a pleasure, full of tension and elegance. A cuvée of great style for wine adventurers!

Expert opinion
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated Les Meilleurs Vins de Grèce (We remind you that this guide is a prize list, and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
(Les Meilleurs Vins de Grèce) Lean Karatsalos and Yannis Paraskevopoulos run this estate, founded in 1994 and considered one of the most promising in Greece. Production here takes place in two wine-growing areas. One is in the Cyclades, on the island of Santorini, in the Episkopi area, with a white wine based on Assyrtiko. This volcanic island allows this local grape variety, which is very fruity when young, to gain in minerality with age. The other is in the Peloponnese, in Koutsi, a small village where the domaine set up its winery in 1997. In this region, at the heart of the Nemea appellation, he produces both white and red vins de pays, always made from native grape varieties such as Rhoditis and Moshofilero, with their pink berries, and Aghiorghitiko or Saint Georges, with their small black clusters.

Drank in 04/20. Very dry on the palate but with good length. Pair with very dry goat's cheeses.
