Wine rated (guide 2021) 93/100
About the wine:
The wealthy Boroli family acquired this estate in the 1990s, but in recent years some vineyards have been sold. Castiglione Falletto's Brunella is a monopoly of the estate, and the wine is aged in both barrels and casks. The nose is lifted and perfumed, with aromas of raspberries and dried herbs. Velvety, concentrated and full-bodied, with polished tannins and delicate acidity. Sophisticated and elegant, with a long finish. 2021-2034
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2018 guide) 91/100 (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
Barolo Brunella 2013 is an austere, dry expression of Nebbiolo. Aromas of dried fruit, spices and licorice emerge from the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is balanced, fresh and elegant. This is a very pretty vintage with a long, clean finish. 2018-2028
Wine Spectator
Rated 94/100 (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
This red is a struggle between sweet, ripe cherries and strawberries, tobacco and mineral flavors and dense, tight tannins. Today, it's still understated, but the long finish with its savory, fruity notes shows potential. Best from 2022 to 2042.

How dare you sell a wine that's too old. It's not red, it's brown. Infectious!
