Expert opinion
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
The 2014 Barolo is a fleshy, juicy expression of Nebbiolo that drinks beautifully straight from the bottle. The bouquet evokes black fruits and sweet cherries, with subtle notes of smoke, spices and grilled herbs. This vintage is finer on the palate, but its lack of power is offset by its elegance and finesse. The wine is fermented with immersed corks for 20 days, then aged in barrel for 18 months. Some 14,648 bottles were produced. This wine offers great value in an accessible vintage. 2020-2030

Rated wine (guide 2023) 89/100
About the wine:
A blend of three vineyards, the 2014 Barolo sports a rich garnet color. It shows some evolution and begins to mellow, with notes of ripe berry liqueur, balsamic and licorice. Medium-bodied, it reveals fine tannins, an elegant texture, fresh acidity and notes of cooked red cherry, cinnamon and burnt orange peel. Drink between 2023 and 2030.
