"What elegance and energy!"

"The entry-level Il Marroneto 2020 Rosso di Montalcino Ignaccio already gives you an idea of the house style. This wine is lively and vibrant, with aromas of red cherry, lilac and a hint of white pepper. It is aged in large oak barrels for 22 months. Honestly, I'd rather drink this Rosso than many of the Brunellos in this catalog that cost three times as much. It finishes with easy, sweet fruit flavors." (Wine Advocate 2023)

"One of the best wines of the vintage - Vinous "

"The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie Il Marroneto reveals both elegance and power. The fruit quality is crisp and invigorating, while the wine sustains medium-weight concentration and a more elaborate style. This vintage of Il Marroneto has two personalities. On the one hand, we have a wine bursting with beautiful primary fruit but a little more immediate; on the other, we have a wine that promises good cellaring thanks to its freshness and silky tannins that melt into the palate. It's young but also old. It is racy but also complex. The fruit comes from the vineyard beneath the Madonna delle Grazie chapel, and the wine is aged in special oak barrels for 41 months". "The 2019 Il Marroneto Rosso di Montalcino Ignaccio shows a sweet cherry note characteristic of the vintage, as well as a subtle concentration that is a hallmark of the growing season. The results are bright and vertical, and the wine shows directness and a good amount of power on the bouquet. It finishes on a very refined, silky note." (Wine Advocate 2022). Goes well with all kinds of dishes, especially poultry!

"100/100 Parker & Wine Enthusiast !"

"Here it is: the magic of Il Marroneto. For my palate, Alessandro Mori's 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie best captures the soaring spirit and ambition of Brunello, crafted in its purest, most naked form. This vintage is a twin brother to the 2010, to which I gave a perfect score* [...] Having now tasted the 2010 vintage several times, I know better what to expect from the short-term evolution of the 2016. I know that the sharp purity of the fruit will soften and give way to more nuanced and refined tones of undergrowth, lilac, iron ore and candied orange peel over the next five years. This wine unfolds to show profound complexity from the start, with bright, jovial red fruit at its core. It vibrates with electric energy and charm." (Wine Advocate 2020) *(ed. note: 100)

"This magnificent wine opens with seductive aromas of ripe forest berries, blue flowers, new leather and baking spices. On the elegantly structured, savory palate, taut, polished tannins accompany raspberry compote, ripe Marasca cherry, star anise and crushed rosemary. This wine is already superbly presented, but will also offer years of pleasure. Drink between 2023 and 2029. (Wine Enthusiast 2022)
