This red wine from Umbria, a region in central Italy, develops intense aromas of black fruit, juniper and coffee beans. Its spicy notes are a perfect match for red meat or a dish in sauce. Its lovely volume and austerity make it an Italian wine of character to be discovered without the slightest hesitation. Perfect value for money!

Vinous A. Galloni
Rated (guide 2022) 90/100 (Vintage 2019)
About the wine:
Floral and peppery in the glass, Rosso Villa Barbi 2019 impresses with an explosion of quinine, dusty dried violets, cassis and hints of charred wood. It's both silky and energetic, with mineral-tinged black fruits complemented by sweet spices and a touch of citrus. The 2019 finishes with great length and power, well above its class, leaving notes of licorice and soft tannins that frame the experience very well. Villa Barbi Rosso is a wine of fantastic value that should not be missed. 2022-2025

Rich ruby-red color with slightly shiny edges. Intense, complex nose, with notes of ripe sour cherries and intense blackberries, slightly peppery and floral in the background. On the palate, lots of ripe fruit and flavor, juicy with fine tannins, long finish.
