Lanari Estate
Visit Lanari Estate was founded some thirty years ago by Leardo Lanari. It is located in Varano, on the promontory of the Conero Natural Park, southeast of Ancona, in the hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the stronghold of the Rosso Conero appellation. Today, Luca Lanari, son of Leardo, and his wife Paola run the winery. Lanari Estate.

The promontory of Conero is an exceptional environment for growing red grapes: they benefit from a unique microclimate, with the sea just a stone's throw away, combined with poor but structurally rich limestone soil, allowing great expression in the wines.

Visit Lanari Estate operates a total of twelve hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Montepulciano grapes, with a small percentage of Sangiovese. The production of Rosso Conero DOC and Conero DOCG benefits from rigorous vineyard management and careful selection of grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. The Lanari Estate produces four cuvées: Rosso Conero Lanarios, D'Inclite, La Fibbio and Arete.

"The 2008 Conero Riserva Fibbio is a 100% Montepulciano aged in French oak. Flowers, spices and new leather come out of the glass, adding deep expression to the complexity of the red fruit. Silky, polished tannins for a wine that shows Montepulciano's more refined side. The 2008 is a superb Lanari success story." (Wine Advocate Feb. 2013 - Robert Parker)

"The Lanari Rosso Cornero 2010 is a big, warm wine. Black cherries, herbs, leather, licorice and smoke are just some of the many notes that escape the glass. The 2010 isn't the most complex of wines, but it hits the spot. A tasty Montepulciano / Sangiovese blend that represents a safe bet." (Wine Advocate Feb. 2013 - Robert Parker)

Fibbio
is the estate's finest cuvée. A unique blend of Montepulciano. A supple, full-bodied Rosso Conero Riserva, rich with an extra-vertiginous edge. A beautiful wine with notes of pepper, clove and tobacco, subtle and very elegant, balanced and harmonious. It has it all!
