ageing wine

A typical Vin Jaune with a deep golden color. The powerful and subtle nose of hazelnut, walnut, and ginger is reflected on the palate. Flavors of saffron, toasted almonds, and gunflint are framed by a full-bodied structure. Pair with a delicious Bresse chicken with morel mushrooms.

Rated estate (2024 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

This historic estate based in Passenans was given a new lease of life when Emmanuel Grand and his partner Nathalie, daughter of winegrowers from Arbois, took it over in 2015, significantly reducing the size of the vineyard and deciding to convert it to organic farming. The results were not long in coming and the range, which encompasses all the specialties of the Jura, is growing every year. "I like to master things in order to understand them," says the rigorous Emmanuel Grand: his credo is perfectly illustrated in wines that are very clean, full of sparkle, deliciousness, and character. The future belongs to them.
