Note : RVF 16/20
From a very small parcel of century-old vines planted on blue clay soil, this wine now expresses itself with great finesse. Supple on the palate and persistent on the finish, it is the perfect companion for veal sweetbreads and mature cheeses.

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Estate rated (2012 guide) 3*Stars (Very good production)

About the domain :

"The Poulsard vineyard planted in 1876 by great-grandfather Albert is still in operation. Today, Alain and Josie Labet work with two of their children (Domaine Labet), while Julien (Julien Labet Vignerons) manages 3 hectares of his own - including 1.7 hectares of vines over 60 years old. Yields are controlled, the soil is tilled, and fertilizers and insecticides are banned. In the cellar, Julien makes a point of vinifying his wines on a parcel-by-parcel basis.

Estate rated (2012 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

"Julien Labet is Alain's son from Domaine Labet. After starting out alongside his father, Julien began with 3 hectares in 2003. The two estates are quite distinct, and Julien recently opted to convert the estate to organic farming. All wines are vinified with indigenous yeasts and in oak barrels. We are seduced by the style and length on the palate of the wines presented. The estate, which is legitimately differentiated today, offers wines that offer great consistency and a very sincere expression."
