Domaine de Cazaban
Created in 2007, the Cazaban estate is located just outside Carcassonne, on the southern slopes of the Montagne Noire. In the heart of the Cabardès appellation, one of the Languedoc's most distinctive, Cazaban has been certified organic by Ecocert since 2010 and biodynamic by Demeter since 2013. In 2017 it was taken over by Emmanuel Taillez and Joseph Parcé (domaine de la Préceptorie), today solely under the management of Emmanuel Taillez.

Domaine de Cazaban extends over 22 hectares of vines on 3 different terroirs: the Plaine de Cazaban, arigo-limestone; the foothills of the Montagne Noire, calco-schist and schist; and the western Minervois, clay-limestone. The somewhat singular Cabardès appellation is located in the western Languedoc region, benefiting from both oceanic and Mediterranean influences, where traditional Languedoc grape varieties such as Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre flourish, as well as Bordeaux varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet franc and Cabernet sauvignon.

A veritable Favorite for this dynamic cuvée , bursting with red fruit and floral aromas. The Grenache supports the whole-cluster Carignan, resulting in a fleshy, dense mouthfeel, while retaining a fine balance of freshness. Precise, delicious, with no chemical additives, this is a pure, lively cuvée! A must-try!

This Grenache-Syrah cuvée reveals a bouquet of beautiful fruity intensity, blending black fruits of blueberry, plum and cherry. On the palate, the gourmet texture expresses a beautiful expression of fruit. Structured by still-firm tannins, the wine will wait a little for the most gourmet pleasure. The fresh finish will keep you coming back for more!

(Notes vintage 2017)

In a region dominated by reds, Cazaban has created a subtle white with this blend of Grenache blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Vermentino. The attack is frank, the palate fresh and very pleasant. An original wine to discover as an aperitif!

Domaine de Cazaban - Les Petites Rangées 2018

15/20 RVF

(Notes vintage 2017)

Les Petites rangées is an unpretentious wine with expressive fruit, a smooth texture and a natural structure, thanks to its Syrah-Cabernet franc blend. A cuvée that highlights the Cabardès terroir without being overly showy. A fine introduction to this Languedoc appellation with Bordeaux accents!
