Château de l'Engarran
Château de l'Engarran is a family estate situated on a small hill in the commune of Lavérune. Today, Diane Losfelt runs the estate, and represents the third generation of women to preside over the destiny of this vast estate, dominated by a beautiful 18th-century building.

The Château de l'Engarran vineyard comprises some 50 hectares of vines in the Coteaux du Languedoc appellation. Modernity and tradition meet in the Château de l'Engarran cellars. Stainless steel and wood, a 17th-century framework, a wooden press with a ratchet mechanism and a low-pressure pneumatic press all illustrate the tradition that best expresses the typicity of l'Engarran wines.

The founding idea of Château de l'Engarran is to always respect the personality of the wine; wood must blend into the wine to reveal its potential.

"An ode to the garrigue for this emblematic cuvée, with the elegance of the Grés de Montpellier terroir".

"The estate's ambassadorial cuvée is in fine form in this generous vintage. Slow to open, the nose takes its time to deliver its nuance of blackcurrant, violet and spices. A lovely mentholated freshness hovers over a delightful, full-bodied palate, imbued with black fruit and enhanced by slightly tight tannins. Powerful and dynamic, this Grés has a bright future ahead of it. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025).

A 100% Sauvignon from a blend of 3 parcels, La Lionne blanc expresses the southern influence of this often varietal grape variety! A skilful balance between freshness and softness, reflecting the Mediterranean climate!

Gourmandise and fleshiness characterize La Lionne. With great roundness, we munch on fresh blackberry, enhanced by a floral touch, red cherry and a hint of spice. The finish is soft, with a hint of menthol typical of the estate's wines. Madly charming!

"A blend of 65% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre, a third of which spent a year in oak barrels, Languedoc Grés de Montpellier 2016 is a worthy match for its 2015 predecessor. Notes of violet and rose are joined by flavors of cracked pepper, pronounced herbs reminiscent of garrigue and ripe blueberries. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, with supple tannins and notes of salty black olives and dark chocolate on the finish" (Wine Advocate 2019 - Joe Czerwinski) Elegance and roundness!

Produced from the best vines of the Saint Georges d'Orques Cru, Quetton Saint Georges is the Château's flagship. This powerful, racy wine has a beautiful dark garnet color, with aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), tinged with spicy notes (pepper) and chocolate. Full-bodied and well-structured on the palate, this wine is typical of the South of France, with aromas of fresh black fruit, hints of violet blossom and spices (nutmeg, paprika, pepper). The fresh finish is enhanced by saline notes. The Château's great cuvee!

"We can measure how far we've come from the male powers of the first vintages of this cuvée, delicacy is taking over again but the flavors remain sublimated." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2015). A wine in a class of its own, with great femininity, grain and fruit, where everything is in lace!

In 2012, Cuvée Sainte-Cécile offers an explosive nose of fresh cherry and blackberry aromas, a floral ambience enhanced by an exotic peppery note (Sichuan pepper). The mentholated note (cyst) on the palate gives the wine a gourmet touch, as well as lightness on a delicate structure. Finally, violet gives the final note to this red wine of feminine elegance. A beautiful lady!

This luminous pearl-pink rosé reveals a nose that oscillates between flowers and fruit, from iris to peach and strawberry to violet. On the palate, it's full-bodied, mineral and smooth! Mouth-filling peach and strawberry, refreshing fresh mint and violet (signatures of the terroir)... A wine for conviviality and gastronomy!
