"An ode to the garrigue for this emblematic cuvée, with the elegance of the Grés de Montpellier terroir".
"The estate's ambassadorial cuvée is in fine form in this generous vintage. Slow to open, the nose takes its time to deliver its nuance of blackcurrant, violet and spices. A lovely mentholated freshness hovers over a delightful, full-bodied palate, imbued with black fruit and enhanced by slightly tight tannins. Powerful and dynamic, this Grés has a bright future ahead of it. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated wine (guide 2025 ) 91/100
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the wine:
The palate begins to evolve towards aromas of undergrowth and Havana leaf. The still-firm finish is surprisingly fresh for the appellation. It's time to start drinking.
About the domain :
Diane and her sister Constance are the third generation of women to dynamically manage the 50 hectares of l'Engarran, scattered around a beautiful folly built in the 18th century. Diane, in charge of vinification, is constantly striving for greater precision. We can only admire the energy and healthy ambition that drive the two sisters. The style highlights the great ripeness of the grapes, making the wines opulent. We note a progression in the quality of the tannins, which are much finer and rounder. More freshness in the wines will further enhance their drinkability. The cuvée with the château's name is our favorite, so don't miss it.

About the wine:
The estate's flagship cuvée is in fine form in this generous vintage.
About the domain :
Ch. de l'Engarran is an 18th-century Montpellier "folie", listed on the Inventaire national des Monuments historiques. Three generations of women have made this 55-hectare estate one of the finest addresses in the Grés of Montpellier and Saint-Georges-d'Orques.
