Domaine Les Aurelles
Since the creation of Domaine Les Aurelles in 1995, Basile and Catherine Saint Germain practiced low-intervention viticulture and winemaking, close to nature. This approach goes beyond the standards of organic and biodynamic farming certifications. All Domaine Les Aurelles have a sulfite content below the biodynamic threshold and are certified free of all traces of pesticides and herbicides.

Domaine Les Aurelles is equipped with an oversized, ultra-modern vinification cellar, enabling us to maintain our high standards, vintage after vintage. In the same spirit as in the vineyard, Domaine Les Aurelles wines are aged for a long time, giving them time to develop their full potential and harmonious aromas and textures.

Domaine Les Aurelles is a benchmark in the Languedoc, and the flagship of the Pézénas cru. An exceptional address!

In January 2023, the estate was bought by Bordeaux entrepreneur Matthieu Gufflet, who also owns three other wine estates, Château de Callac in Graves, Château Guiraud in Sauternes and Château des Bachelards in Fleurie. The handover will take place over several years, with support from Basile and Catherine Saint Germain, who are still at the helm of the estate.

"[...] with unparalleled vinosity, it shows a dynamic attack and a racy, delicate finish with great tannin finesse". (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve 2023) This Carignan (60%) - Grenache expresses itself with typically Mediterranean aromas of black fruits, spices and garrigue. The palate is ripe, racy and well-structured, sustained by round tannins.

"Great Languedoc wine

"Very fine tannin, intense vinosity, a slender finish, this is a slightly fresher vintage with accomplished balance. Definitely one of the great Languedoc wines." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane + Desseauve 2023)

"One of the greatest whites in the South of France".

"Aurel 2017 made exclusively from roussanne is impressively full-bodied with endless length, in the style of the very great whites from the northern Rhône Valley. Today, it's an essential reference in the Mediterranean arc." (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve 2023) Produced in less than 3,000 units, this Gem from Languedoc spent at least 20 months in barrel to gain roundness and unparalleled complexity. A rare white wine that easily rivals the great whites of Burgundy or the Northern Rhône.
