Léon Barral Estate
The Léon Barral estate is located in the hamlet of Lanthéric and is run by Didier Barral, a man of conviction who settled on the estate in the early 1990s and has been constantly striving to find the most authentic expression of his terroir. His viticulture is sustainable, respecting the ecosystem, promoting interactions between the plant and animal kingdoms, and strengthening the immunity of the vines.

The 25-hectare vineyard of Domaine Léon Barral is rooted in schistose hillsides and slopes sheltered by the Cévennes foothills. The vines are pampered, weeded, and fertilized by a herd of Jersey cows that graze from October to mid-April. The owner likes to say that "the wine begins to be made when you put the blade of the pruning shears to the wood to prune the vines." The grapes are harvested by hand, and the winemaking process respects and delivers the most authentic expression of the grapes. Thanks to their quality, the wines of Domaine Léon Barral feature prominently on many gourmet tables.
