The vineyards of Léon Barral Estate The 25-hectare vineyard is rooted in schistose hillsides and slopes sheltered by the Cévennes foothills. The vines are pampered, weeded and smoked by a herd of Jersey cows that graze from October to mid-April. As the owner of the estate is wont to say, "the wine begins to be made when the pruning shears are placed on the wood". Harvesting is done by hand, and vinification follows a process that respects and delivers the most authentic expression of the grape. The quality of Léon Barral Estate feature prominently on many gourmet tables.
