Domaine du Mas Lou
Visit Mas Lou is run by two enthusiasts Adèle Arnaud and Olivier Gil, who met on the school benches and both hold a national diploma in oenology. Having travelled the length and breadth of France working with renowned winemakers, in 2014 they settled in the Haut-Languedoc, in the Faugères and Côtes de Thongue appellations.

The 8 hectares of old vines at Mas Lou are located in Fos, at the foot of the Cévennes mountains, planted on schistose slopes that give Faugères wines their distinctive personality. Mas Lou 's vineyards are planted mainly with Syrah and old Carignans, complemented by Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Lledoner Pellut in smaller proportions.

With a "hand-crafted" winemaking process based on a philosophy of minimal intervention, these two enthusiasts seek to convey through their wines the closest expression of the terroirs of the Faugères appellation and of each vintage. An address of the young Languedoc generation to follow closely.

"A real favorite in Côtes de Thongue!

"The domaine's debut in the Guide is a charming white made from Vermentino and Viognier grapes. Vinification and barrel ageing mark the nose with gourmand, milky and pastry notes, with a touch of gunflint for complexity. The fruit (peach and apricot) adds nuance to a delicate, unctuous mouthfeel, with fresh butter on the finish. A refined, gourmet, remarkably mature wine: Favorite is a no-brainer." (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

"A fresh, round and digestible balance for this airy wine, a Gem not to be missed!"

This cuvée Favorite, mainly made from Syrah vines planted at an altitude of over 300 m, expresses itself with finesse, gourmandise and generosity. On the nose, the smoky, balsamic framework opens onto notes of black fruit and thyme. On the palate, the wine is concentrated yet crisp, blending wild berries and graphite.
