Mas Lou Estate
The Mas Lou is run by two enthusiasts, Adèle Arnaud and Olivier Gil, who met at school and both hold national diplomas in oenology. After traveling throughout France to meet renowned winemakers, they settled in 2014 in the Haut-Languedoc region, in the Faugères and Côtes de Thongue appellations.

The 8 hectares of old vines at Mas Lou are located in Fos, at the foot of the Cévennes mountains, planted on schist slopes that give the wines of Faugères their distinctive character. Cultivated according to organic farming principles and currently undergoing conversion, the Mas Lou vineyard is mainly planted with Syrah and old Carignan vines, supplemented by smaller proportions of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Lledoner Pellut.

With handcrafted winemaking based on a philosophy of minimal intervention, these two enthusiasts seek to express the terroirs of the Faugères appellation and each vintage as faithfully as possible through their wines. This is a young Languedoc winery to watch closely.
