Bettane & Desseauve

(Notes vintage 2017)

A deep, complex vin de pays on the nose, opening with aromas of spices and red fruit, reminiscent of redcurrant and blackcurrant. A red wine with a dense, fresh and structured palate, and a long, spicy finish, with power and character, supported by silky tannins... Ideal with local cuisine!

Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated 15/20 (Vintage 2017) (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2024) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Creisses refers to pebbles. Philippe Chesnelong took over this family estate in 1990. He is assisted by his cousin Louis Mitjaville, whose reputation has spread far beyond Saint-Émilion. The cuvée les-brunes is generally powerful, while the more immediate cuvée des creisses explodes with flavor. A truly fine address.
