Domaine de la Garance
Visit Domaine de la Garance is an estate of 6 hectares and 50 ares, located in Caux, north of Pezenas in the Languedoc region.

Since 1998, Murielle Clavier and Pierre Quinonero have been committed to producing racy red and white wines from complex and varied terroirs of Villefranchian pebbles, clay-limestone sediments and basaltic scree.

The Domaine de la Garance vineyard is run according to the principles of organic farming, using animal traction since 2011.

Domaine de la Garance wines are mainly made from Carignan, the region's favorite grape variety. They are represented under the Vin de France and AOC Coteaux du Languedoc appellations.

(2016 vintage notes)

"Limited quantities!

Les Armières highlights the identity of the Domaine de la Garance terroir. The majority Carignan in this cuvée is adapted to the soil, on old vines with very low yields of 18 hl/ha. There's fruit, good acidity, substance and the determination to make a great red wine. A pure Languedoc product, full of authenticity!

Domaine de la Garance - À Clara blanc 2018

In a style that favors fruit, Cuvée A Clara is a fresh, taut 100% Chardonnay. No wood here, just a beautiful expression of minerality. Certified organic, this cuvée is the result of a labor of love, like a message left to his daughter.

Like a dedication to his daughter Clara, Pierre Quinonero's vinification is focused on the fruit. This blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache reveals its finesse, with a certain lightness and lots of crunch! Original!

Les Armières showcases the terroir of Domaine de la Garance, carrying its identity. The vines are one hundred years old, the Carignan adapted. There's fruit, acidity, substance and the determination to make a great red wine, which can also be kept by its development in the bottle.

Domaine de la Garance - Les Claviers 2012

16/20 RVF

"The spectacularly intense Les Claviers 2012 opens slowly with complex aromas reminiscent of warm butter, sage and dried apricot; highly structured, its palate possesses the restraint and tannic grain of a great red wine." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - RVF) Pierre Quinonero, a talented winemaker, offers here a white with a subtle oxidative style, both disconcerting and very elegant.

Rich in history, Les Claviers is the culmination of a long reflection on the desire to produce a white wine that can be kept, a Languedoc Roussillon identity, rich and powerful, with the necessary subtlety that makes it a great wine.
