Les Armières showcases the terroir of Domaine de la Garance, carrying its identity. The vines are one hundred years old, the Carignan adapted. There's fruit, acidity, substance and the determination to make a great red wine, which can also be kept by its development in the bottle.

Expert opinion
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 + Coup de Coeur (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2019 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
After a period with the cooperative, Pierre Quinonero and Murielle Clavier proceeded with their first bottling with the 1998 vintage. Situated at the foot of the village of Caux, the vineyard includes old carignan, ugnis and clairette vines, some of which are over a hundred years old. The Grenache and Syrah replantings are the result of massal selections. In the cellar built by friends, the option of whole harvest and long maceration yields a red, Les Armières (90% Carignan), with solid acidity and tannins refined in concrete vats and wooden tuns. Refusing to take the easy way out, the small production of white wines is not lacking in originality. The demanding style makes the wines sometimes difficult to access for neophytes.

1 bottle in 2018, decanted then re-bottled in the morning for an evening meal, explosive nose of red fruit, then cherry in alcohol (kirsch), "airy" mouth, melted tannin, very light acidity, very good wine.
