Mas Gabriel
Set in 6 hectares of vineyards in the village of Caux, one of the most picturesque in the Languedoc, the Mas Gabriel resonates with English accents. In 2002, Peter Core, financial director, and Deborah Core, lawyer, left London for New Zealand, with the dream of one day setting up their own winery in France. For 18 months, they trained with winemakers and obtained a diploma in viticulture and winemaking. In 2006, this couple with a passion for nature and wine bought a number of plots of vines and created the Mas Gabriel.

Located at the foot of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc, not far from Pézénas, the Mas Gabriel vineyard is part of an environmentally-friendly approach, with organically grown vines. The wines are produced under two appellations: IGP Pays de l'Hérault and Languedoc with the Pézénas indication.

"A white with finesse

Champ de bleuets transports us to floral tunes and aromas of fresh-cut pear, star anise, fennel and candied ginger. This delicate, well-balanced white is full-bodied on the palate, with a fresh finish.

Mas Gabriel - Clos des Lièvres 2017

Cité Hachette

(2016 vintage notes)

This blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache reveals a complex, harmonious nose of lavender, garrigue, blackcurrant and a touch of black pepper. The palate is impressively extracted, full and round, with concentrated aromas of jammy black and red fruits and a bouquet of garrigue notes. A concentrate of Languedoc flavors!
