Château Beaufort
Beaufort Castle is a winegrowing estate in the Minervois region, owned by Jérôme Portal. It extends over 170 hectares, 70 of which are devoted to vines. The terroir offers a splendid mosaic of landscapes, where Aleppo pine is king.

Particular attention has been paid to vine planting in the region since the early 1980s. Château Beaufort cultivates its vineyards with passion. HVE level 3 certified, the estate is in conversion to organic farming, and the 2023 vintage will mark the long-awaited certification.

Château Beaufort produces concentrated red wines for ageing, with plenty of substance but with fine, elegant tannins. The cuvées are named after former owners of this wine château.

"An absolutely irresistible wine!

"Whole-cluster vinification for this Syrah and Grenache Noir duo, matured for 18 months in vats, with absolute fullness. Behind a deep color, a seductive nose, very pure and fresh, centered on black cherry. A smooth attack opens onto a rich, fat palate, backed by equally melting tannins. The long, spicy, mentholated finish is the perfect end to this powerful, velvety, harmonious Minervois, which is already irresistible but will keep for a long time. (Le Guide Hachette 2024).
