"Whole-cluster vinification for this Syrah and Grenache Noir duo, matured for 18 months in vats, with absolute fullness. Behind a deep color, a seductive nose, very pure and fresh, centered on black cherry. A smooth attack opens onto a rich, fat palate, backed by equally melting tannins. The long, spicy, mentholated finish is the perfect end to this powerful, velvety, harmonious Minervois, which is already irresistible but will keep for a long time. (Le Guide Hachette 2024).

About the wine:
Whole-cluster vinification for this Syrah and Grenache Noir duo, matured for 18 months in vats, with absolute fullness. Behind its deep color lies a seductive nose, very pure and fresh, centered on black cherry. A soft attack opens onto a rich, fat palate, backed by equally melting tannins. A long, spicy, mentholated finish rounds off the tasting of this powerful, velvety, harmonious Minervois, already irresistible, but with good cellaring potential.

Uitstekende PQR. Rijpingspotentieel, tannine moet nog versmelten. Score: 16/20

Semi-carbonic vinification is fine when it's mastered. Here, unfortunately, there's still a lot of gas in the bottle, giving the wine a rather unpleasant Beaujolais Nouveau feel. All this is accompanied by a crushed fruit palate (perhaps due to the Carignan grape variety) as if the wine were in decline. It's less than 10€ but it's not great!

A powerful nose of jammy fruit (prunes, cherries). Powerful and long on the palate. Aromas of morello cherry, black fruit and candied fruit are well supported by powerful yet mellow tannins.

Favorite for this charming Minervois, where everything tastes just right. Skilfully restrained in their power, the old vines galvanize a basket of ripe, crunchy red fruits, accompanied by subtle notes of tapenade and garrigue accents. With a perfect patina after meticulous ageing, the tannins are extremely soft and caressing, and melt into an opulent, suave palate of remarkable freshness. Luscious texture, enveloped in a touch of fat, almost creamy. The intensity doesn't falter on the deep, sapid, peppery finish. Score 4.5 for this excellent bargain at less than €8. Load it up by the case, especially as its fine bone structure will enable it to stand the test of time for a long time to come. This insolently seductive bottle was shared with friends, after decanting, with skewers of honey-marinated duck and grilled mango.
