"Three stars, one Favorite and a very good deal for this Minervois dominated by Grenache Noir. Discreet yet distinctive, the nose delivers warm aromas of ripe red fruit against a background of garrigue, Zan and pepper. Surprisingly fresh on the attack, set against silky tannins, the palate delivers a round, soft flesh, without excess, which lingers for a long time on this sunny fruit, very Languedoc. Already blossoming, nothing protrudes except pleasure" (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the domain :
René-Henry Guéry represents the eighth generation of a winegrowing family with deep roots in Azille, in the Minervois region. With his wife Florence, who comes from the Lot region, another land of vines, he has been running this 40-hectare estate since 1998, and will be adding a new barrel cellar in 2022. The 15 ha planted with white grape varieties are now farmed organically.

Without being exceptional, this Minervois is nonetheless remarkable in terms of quality, and at this price level, it's hard to beat it! In a powerful yet restrained style, fresh yet restrained, a graceful, velvety juice enchants a mouth astonishing for its fullness and suavity, on a wide range of beautiful ripe red fruits, intermixed with spices and pepper. Served by perfectly-adjusted ageing, the melted tannins accompany a long, sexy finish. Excellent value for money. To fully appreciate this well-constructed, devilishly charming wine, there's nothing better than a Basque chicken or a nice piece of grilled beef with ratatouille. Score = 4.4.

Superb! Excellent QP ratio, lovely nose, good substance, superb length without aggressive tannins. I wanted to recommend it, but too late...
