Mas Bruguière
Pic Saint-Loup
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Scored (2016 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
Lovely juice, a great success for the vintage with this juicy, complex wine.
About the domain :
This Valflaunès estate lies in the shadow of the impressive Pic Saint-Loup. Mas Bruguière was one of the pioneers of the qualitative revival in Languedoc. Xavier, the new generation of the Bruguière family, is exploring biodynamic viticulture, and the results can now be seen in the wines.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2016 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
La Grenadière 2012 has much more character and depth, yet the pleasure is there, in the delicate texture as well as in the exuberance of the fruit.
About the domain :
With the help of his wife, Xavier Bruguière has taken over this historic Pic Saint-Loup estate from his father Guilhem. The vines are impeccably tended. The reds are round and aromatic, dominated - as is often the case in this sector - by Syrah, but always well-balanced by Grenache. The white Les Mûriers is a consistent wine to be drunk young, evolving towards greater freshness. The range extends from the simple, fruity Vinam de Calcadiz, through L'Arbouse, always fresh and fragrant, to the main cuvée La Grenadière. A new Syrah cuvée, Le Septième - in reference to the seventh generation - is gradually finding its feet, with a smoother ageing process.
