Château Lavabre - La Closerie rosé 2019
92/100 Robert Parker
-
91/100 Jeb Dunnuck
"Based on a blend of Grenache and Syrah, La Closerie Rosé 2019 is both the most mineral and the most concentrated of the three rosés tasted. Crushed stone dominates the nose, while the rather round palate expands to show notes of fresh herbs, Alpine strawberries and lime zest, ending with a wet stone finish." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski)
Château Lavabre - La Closerie blanc 2018
4/5 (2 reviews)
91/100 Robert Parker
"Closerie Grand Blanc de Lavabre 2018 presents a toasty nose reminiscent of flambéed orange zest. Flavors of melon and pear round out the medium-bodied palate, while notes of crushed stone appear on the finish. Complex and flavorful, it should drink well for at least 2-3 years." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski)
Château Lavabre - La Closerie rouge 2017
4.5/5 (8 reviews)
92-95/100 Robert Parker
"La Closerie 2017 features oak, cedar and baking spices, a blend of cracked pepper and ripe blueberries. Full-bodied and supple, with an almost creamy texture, it's long and mellow, yet retains a welcome sense of freshness." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski)
Château Lavabre - Les Demoiselles 2017
4.5/5 (2 reviews)
89-91/100 Robert Parker
" This is a solid example of the appellation, combining elements of crushed stone, licorice, violets and blueberries in a complex, flavorful wine. Medium- to full-bodied, it's ripe and supple yet controlled, controlled and composed, with a long, concentrated finish." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski)
Château Lavabre - Pic Saint-Loup 2018
4/5 (6 reviews)
92-94/100 Robert Parker
-
17,5/20 Jancis Robinson
"A 70-30 blend of Syrah and Grenache, the Syrah aged in small new oak barrels and the Grenache aged in small foudres. Château Lavabre's 2018 Pic Saint Loup presents ripe, exuberant aromas of plum and black cherry, supported by notes of baking spice and crushed stone. These same aromas support a full-bodied palate, adding a little relief to the waves of ripe fruit. Ripe, supple tannins provide the necessary structure. This delicious, easily accessible wine won't need any real cellar time after release." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski)
