Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (guide 2024) 90/100 (Vintage 2021)
Domain rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
This recent estate is run by two agronomic engineers, including a former director of a Fitou winery who took over the family vines from the cooperative. After generous 2016s and great successes in 2017, we noticed the high level of Jalouses in 2018, a benchmark wine from schist terroirs. With the 2019s continuing on this impressive path, we're happy to award them a third star.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domain rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (Outstanding wine)
About the domain :
Vivien Roussignol and Marie Toussaint set up in 2011 with a single hectare, of goblet-trimmed vines grown on schist slopes. They gradually expanded the vineyard, favoring old vines and keeping alive a rich heritage of grape varieties (some twenty today). The 12 ha are undergoing organic conversion in 2019.
