Catherine and Pierre Breton
Catherine and Pierre Breton have been winemakers for over twenty years in Restigné, producing natural, organic and biodynamic wines in the Bourgueil, Chinon and Vouvray appellations d'origine contrôlée.

They cultivate their vines using certified organic methods, with no chemical fertilizers or weedkillers, and limited yields. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified using natural indigenous yeasts. Catherine and Pierre Breton are wine artisans, producing a range of authentic AOC Bourgueil, AOC Chinon and AOC Vouvray wines.

"The spirit of a natural wine

Catherine and Pierre Breton's Nuits d'Ivresse is a gourmet cuvée with accents of ripe fruit and toast. Produced in the "natural" way, with no inputs, the wine is dense and generous, with purity of fruit at its core, and the right balance between fruit and tannin.

"The tannin is fine, the wine greedy, with the naturalness we love in the domaine's cuvées." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2013). A deep nose and silky tannins on the palate, which reveals a great deal of naturalness and is thirst-quenching. A fine Bourgueil!

La Dilettante is a thirst-quenching, generous wine from a lovely gravel terroir. A red that reflects the expression of a very sustained aromatic palette, offering a very fruity and fleshy palate. A fine wine for sharing.

Pierre & Catherine Breton - Les Perrières 2009

Notes : Robert Parker 90-91+/100, RVF 16,5/20
"Les Perrières 2009 will need a few years in the cellar to release all its chalky depth and aromatic intensity; still a little on the reserve side, it's certainly a very fine wine." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2013 - RVF). A straightforward, chalky wine with good ageing potential and great depth. A jewel of the domaine!

Notes : RVF 16/20, Robert Parker 89-90/100
"Precise the very fine Les Perrières 2008, straightforward, chalky, built for fine cellaring" (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Guide RVF). Les Perrières comes from vines over 70 years old, on a magnificent mid-slope clay-silica terroir. Regularity due to small yields produces a straight, chalky wine with good ageing potential. A jewel of the domaine!
