Coulaine Castle
Château de Coulaine is located in the renowned Véron terroir in the Loire Valley. Château de Coulaine is a very old family estate whose winegrowing tradition has continued uninterrupted since 1300. Taken over by Etienne de Bonnaventure in 1988, then by his son Jean in 2017, the vineyard has expanded and now covers 18 hectares of organic cultivation, a personal choice that is fully in line with the ongoing quest for a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity.

The terroir of Château de Coulaine, two-thirds of which is composed of clay-limestone hillsides and the rest of clay-siliceous plateaus, is perfectly expressed in a very natural and light-bodied manner in the range of wines produced. The wines of the Château de Coulaine estate are made exclusively from Cabernet Franc, producing high-quality wines in the Chinon appellation.
