Pierre Sourdais - Chinon Réserve Stanislas 2019
5/5 (1 review)
2*Étoiles Hachette
"45-year-old vines planted on clay-limestone and flint-clay plots are at the origin of this foudre-aged cuvée. A sojourn in the staves has given it discreet toasty notes to complement the black fruit. A happy marriage of wood and fruit, extended by a warm, suave and solidly structured palate. Great potential. (Le Guide Hachette 2023)
Pierre Sourdais - Chinon Tradition 2020
3.7/5 (6 reviews)
89/100 RVF
A ruby-purple color for this Chinon Tradition, with a rich, complex, well-defined aromatic palette of ripe fruit. The palate is well-balanced, with a subtle hint of gravelly aromas in a fairly tannic profile... Best served with red meat!
Pierre Sourdais - Chinon Les Boulais 2016
5/5 (1 review)
1*Étoile Hachette
A red of astonishing concentration, marked by impressive color intensity. The nose reveals superb black fruits, while the rich, generous palate reveals silky tannins of great length. A generous cuvée!
Pierre Sourdais - Les Rosiers 2018
These young Cabernet Franc vines planted on gravel and sand produce a very pleasant, aromatic nose of raspberry, blackcurrant and violet. A fruity red wine with fleshy juice for immediate pleasure! Great with meals or cold meats. Remarkable!
Pierre Sourdais - Les Cornuelles 2014
3.6/5 (5 reviews)
Blanc de noir ligérien, this 100% Cabernet Franc has salmon hues and aromas of white flowers. Smooth on the palate, with soft notes of white peach. Made from a flinty clay soil, this Chinon is a little special, with all the minerality and expression of its terroir.
Pierre Sourdais - Les Rosiers 2013

16/20 RVF (G&M)
"Another great success from this estate, a regular in our guide! Here's a Chinon that's all freshness and length, with ample, velvety flesh, in a style that's both precocious, deep and meticulous. You'll be able to stock up without hurting your wallet". (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - Gerbelle & Maurange). A pleasant, aromatic cuvée, with scents of raspberry, blackcurrant, violet... Remarkable!
