"A great sweet wine for enjoyment and sharing, a superb success!"

"A Favorite joins a very long list for the Socheleau family, renowned specialists in sweet wines from Anjou. This sweet wine immediately seduces with its devilishly delicious aromas of stewed and overripe fruit, particularly figs, dates, and apricots. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, complex, but never heavy, with a lovely minty freshness and remarkable length. A great wine to share, both now and in the decade to come." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025).

About wine:

A Favorite joins a very long list for the Socheleau family, renowned specialists in sweet wines from Anjou. This sweet wine immediately seduces with its devilishly delicious aromas of stewed and overripe fruit, particularly figs, dates, and apricots. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, complex, but never heavy, with a lovely minty freshness and remarkable length. A great wine to share, both now and in the decade to come.

About the estate:

René Socheleau and his son Philippe took over and restructured this 44-hectare estate in 2001, building a new winery on the Anjou corniche overlooking the Loire and Layon valleys. Their wines are regularly featured in the Guide.
