Concours de Mâcon
" Favorite real Favorite this vintage, offering superb value for money."
"After a magnificent double victory in the previous edition, in Coteaux-du-Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume, the Davys have added another gem to their long string of Favorites. This fine gold-colored wine expresses itself with equal elegance and intensity, with notes of stewed quince and candied apricot. On the palate, it is a beautiful wine, full-bodied, rich, generous, long and equally expressive, but also full of freshness and liveliness despite its sugar content (100 g/l). A Layon that remains tender and perfectly balanced, pure indulgence." (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

About wine:
After a magnificent double victory in the previous edition, in Coteaux-du-Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume, the Davy family has added another gem to their long string of Favorites. A Layon that remains tender and perfectly balanced, pure indulgence.
About the estate:
This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche Angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The old wine cellar is listed (17th century) and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the wines are left to mature. A sure bet in the Anjou wine region, often in the spotlight for its sweet wines, Coteaux-du-Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume in particular.
