Cour-Cheverny
The Cour-Cheverny vineyard is located in the Loir-et-Cher region and covers some 60 hectares spread over 11 communes.
This AOC, officialized by the INAO in 1993, produces only white wines from Romorantin, a white grape variety planted only in this appellation and derived from a cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais. Not to be confused with the much larger AOC Cheverny, which produces white, red and rosé wines.
Thanks to sandy limestone soils, Cour-Cheverny wines are dry and lively when young, developing aromas of honey, quince and lime blossom after a few years in the cellar. Produced under controlled yields and harvested at optimum ripeness, Romorantin gives this wine an elegant, sought-after style.

"Bouquet of gentian roots, finely austere but with a relaxed approach on the palate towards more fruit. A solar power channeled by beautiful bitters. Already in great shape, it should evolve quietly over the next few years. Sapid, full-bodied finish". (La RVF Revue April 2023)
Domaine de Montcy - Cour-Cheverny Plénitude 2015
4.3/5 (6 reviews)
16/20 Bettane & Desseauve
Golden yellow in color, this barrel-fermented 100% Romorantin reveals lightly smoky aromas with hints of thyme. Round and powerful on the palate, it delights with its length and minerality.
Domaine de Montcy - Cour-Cheverny 2013
3.5/5 (12 reviews)
This Cour-Cheverny is a great, well-balanced dry wine expressing all the richness and typicity of the Romorantin from which it is made. It offers a deep, complex nose of thyme and rhubarb, quite mineral, with a straightforward, fresh and powerful attack on the palate, lemony notes and a balanced finish with great length. A fine vintage!
