"A great white bursting with energy, in the register of poetry".
Jasnières Calligramme reveals concentrated, expressive aromas of yellow fruit, lemon and green apple. Rich, deep and crisp on the palate, with invigorating, saline acidity. The finish is carried away by beautiful bitters.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (guide 2024) 94/100 (Vintage 2020)
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Clément Nicolas has now taken over from his parents Christine and Eric, and is making the most of the new gravity-fed winery. This estate sets the benchmark for Sarthe wines, continuing to position them at the highest level. Their 15-hectare organic and biodynamic vineyard is impeccable. Original wines that justify prices ranging from 20 to 42 euros.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
In the mid-1990s, Éric and Christine Nicolas were the first to raise the flame of Sarthe wines with panache. With the same sensitivity and rigor, their son Clément has joined them at the family domaine in Lhomme. Their cuvées show the immense potential of these discreet terroirs. The reasons for their success are the same as elsewhere in France: elitist, biodynamic viticulture and the most natural, yet scrupulous, winemaking possible. The coteaux-du-loir Vieilles Vignes Éparses is a perfect illustration of the unique, elegantly austere character of these wines, which evolve towards an extraordinary saline sensation with a few years in bottle. Calligramme, from 70-year-old vines, is another monument, oscillating between dry and semi-dry depending on the vintage, that every lover of great Loire whites must have in their cellar. With their high level of concentration, Pineau d'Aunis reds are among the most accomplished of this grape variety, albeit with a difference this year.
