RVF
"One of the region's most accomplished cuvées".
"Only produced in 2005 and 2009, this cuvée was aged 32 months on lees, and now delivers a discreet bouquet but a rich, full-bodied, sun-drenched substance. The richest of the cuvées is the perfect accompaniment to roast monkfish." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France - RVF) All Luneau-Papin know-how in bottle, aged for 32 months!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 16.5/20 (Reference wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
The acidic structure magnificently holds together the architecture of the wine, which becomes smoother with each tasting, with aromas evolving towards saffron and candied citrus.
About the domain :
Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau are one of the most dynamic couples in the French wine industry. Their expertise and knowledge of the 42-hectare vineyard are unrivalled in the region. Their work in the vineyard is based on organic and biodynamic principles, and their cuvées are great gourmet wines, whose evolution over time is a model of its kind. Our tastings always place this estate at the top.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
Only produced in 2005 and 2009, this cuvée was aged on lees for 32 months, and now delivers a discreet bouquet but a rich, full-bodied, sun-drenched substance. The richest cuvée is the perfect accompaniment to roast monkfish.
About the domain :
Pierre and Monique Luneau-Papin have left their mark on their generation, chiseling out great Muscadet wines. We owe them in particular the magnificent Excelsior cuvée, a benchmark among Nantes' long-keeping whites and a pioneer for the cru communal de Goulaine. Their son, Pierre-Marie, and his wife, Marie, are continuing the story with exceptional energy, going even further in their quest for terroir identity. These are aptly reflected in all their wines, from Vera Cruz (quartz, micaschist and two-mica schist) to Gula-Ana (peridotite and serpentinite from the fabulous Butte de la Roche, one of the most bewitching places in Muscadet). The wines are aged mainly in underground concrete vats lined with glass tiles, sometimes backed up by amphorae for certain vats. These 40 hectares of vines have been organically farmed since 2019. An estate in top form, delivering contemporary Muscadets that are at once distinctive, precise and invigorating.

Very surprising for a Muscadet. There's none of the taut minerality of this appellation. This is a fairly complex wine that deserves something more than oysters and other seafood.

Certainly one of the leading estates, with wines that are always remarkable, even at the lower end of the range, and nothing to say about delivery, thank you...
