Domaine Delaporte
Handed down from father to son since the 17th century, the Domaine Delaporte is located in the heart of the Sancerrois region, in the village of Chavignol.

Since 2010, Matthieu Delaporte, grandson of Vincent Delaporte, has been managing the 33 hectares of vines that make up the Delaporte estate, planted mainly with Sauvignon Blanc (75% of the vineyard). He brings a modern touch to the estate, introducing manual harvesting and an organic approach (in conversion), without extremism, to bring out the personality of each terroir.

Domaine Delaporte has 50 plots of land, with a wide variety of terroirs. It produces a range of 7 wines: 3 whites, 3 reds and a rosé. An up-and-coming domaine!

"Pure expression of Silex in Sancerre, with a full, powerful and fresh structure!"

This cuvée of old vines planted on flint surprises with its power, harmony and minerality. The nose is complex and crystalline, revealing white fruit, citrus and above all fine flinty aromas, a reminder of the terroir. The attack is full and round, before the minerality takes over, providing an energetic structure.

"Very good potential for this cuvée, which will surprise you with its harmony and power".

With its mineral touch, Silex rouge expresses all the generosity and roundness of Pinot Noir. Completely de-stemmed, it offers black fruit and coffee aromas enhanced by 12 months of barrel ageing. The palate impresses with its depth and fullness. The tannins are silky and smooth.

"Great Sancerre!"

A powerful, rich wine, dominated by white fruits, with a spherical, fresh attack and a dense, velvety texture. The finish is saline and long-lasting. A high-flying cuvée that sublimates Sauvignon Blanc and the difficult terroir on which it is planted.

Domaine Delaporte's red Sancerre Chavignol represents the very identity of the estate. Derived from the vineyard's different types of limestone soils, the Pinot Noir here reveals a fruity intensity. The flesh is round, juicy and fresh. An accessible Sancerre with a sapid, salivating finish.

The only estate to produce Cul de Beaujeu in Pinot Noir, this small Gem is located on an exceptional terroir on a slope of Kimmeridgian marl. The nose is open and very elegant, with aromas of black fruit and menthol, with hints of leather and chestnut. Well-balanced on the palate, this wine surprises with its dense yet delicate body and remarkably long finish. A great wine for laying down, to be discovered without further delay!

"If you're looking for a Provençal color in your rosé, Delaporte's Sancerre Rosé 2021 is not what you need. Instead, it's a rather jovial raspberry-tinged pink, with aromas of strawberry and cream. It's a dry rosé, seductive and easy to drink, but with a little more substance than most rosés. Its tangy finish reflects the freshness of the 2021 season, giving it a nice guiding energy. Very pleasant." (Vinous 2022) A very fine rosé that will accompany moments of sharing, summer barbecues and even an Asian dish... Asian dish...
