"Named after the fossils that formed much of the soil in and around Sancerre, this wine is rich, smooth-textured with hints of toast from wood aging. Tamed acidity adds a bright touch to the ripe white fruit. A well-balanced wine to drink from 2021 onwards". (Wine Enthusiast)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
With each passing vintage, the Roblin brothers assert themselves with greater regularity. The vineyard, mainly composed of white soils, covers 17 hectares on the slopes of Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux. Special mention goes to the original white, which offers a very fine Sauvignon. An interesting address at reasonable prices.
Guide Hachette des vins

About the domain :
Matthias Roblin took over this family estate, whose origins date back to the 18th century, in 2000. His brother Émile joined him six years later. The vineyard extends over 19 hectares, which are cultivated "using integrated farming methods with an organic bias".
