Domaine Baumard
Domaine Baumard is located in Rochefort sur Loire. This family estate dates back to 1634, and Florent Baumard, the current manager, took over the reins in 1987.

Respectful of the environment and people, Domaine Baumard has been practicing sustainable viticulture for over 50 years: alternating tillage and grassing, high and wide vines (VHL), respect for natural balance and prophylaxis. The VHL method allows a "large exposed leaf surface" for better grape ripening, improves soil structure and restores superior biological and agronomic potential, with the ultimate aim of maintaining the terroir. The Domaine Baumard grapes are harvested by hand in shallow crates. Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts de Chaume grapes are sorted successively. The bunches are then transported in suspended trailers to preserve the physical qualities of the grapes.

Florent Baumard combines the expression of terroir with the technical mastery handed down from his father, resulting in an explosion of aromas and a highly homogeneous range of wines.

The greatest wine of the Loire Valley! It benefits from a unique terroir and location, rare breed and elegance, and a remarkable texture that combines power and clarity, richness and precision. The bouquet is highly floral, with notes of citrus and orchard fruit. A great Quarts de Chaume!

"Yellow fruit and citrus on the nose, fresh and well-proportioned on the palate". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2012). A lovely white with nuances of acacia honey, yellow fruit and citrus. Opulent and precise on the palate, concentrated and refined, in a rather feminine style. Enjoy it now!

"Superb aromatics with sweet notes of mirabelle plum and nectarine. The satin-smooth palate, with aromas of gentian, calls us to order, dry, elegant and finely spiced. The candied ginger finish awakens the taste buds". (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault Millau)

"Dry apricot on the nose, with a smooth entry on the palate, this is a wine full of greed." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2012). A very floral and delicate Savennières on the nose, with hints of chamomile. The texture is round and unctuous, harmonious and well-balanced. A wine for pleasure!
