\r\n \r\n Coulée de Serrant is an appellation contrôlée of just 7 hectares. Situated on steep slopes overlooking the Loire, the Chenin vines have an average age of 35 to 40 years. The oldest vines, over 80 years old, provide the wood for the new vines that contribute to the originality of the area. Partly cultivated by horse or hand, the average yield is 20/25 hectolitres per hectare. The very shallow soil lies on a bed of sloping red schist, which perfectly drains the Savennières Coulée de Serrant vines. The slopes are predominantly south/southeast-facing. Harvesting is carried out in 5 batches over 3 to 4 weeks, to obtain the most colorful ripeness possible and the most marked by botrytis. Nicolas Joly's estate also produces Savennières Roche aux Moines, whose quality is on a par with the other crus.","4.3/5","See the 606 reviews","More information on the ","Wine estates recommended by","Buy your Coulée de Serrant wines at the best price on private sale!","Rated site","19678 notices","20€","Free on your 1st order*.","Access to sales!","Our latest sales of Coulée de Serrant wines - Nicolas Joly","|","White wine","Organic","5/5 (1 review)","(Vintage 2021 notes)","intensity","ripe fruit","biodynamics","\"A Grand Blanc de Loire of undeniable charm, to be forgotten for a few years in the cellar. Domaine de la Coulée de Serrant produces probably one of the finest white wines in the world. Nicolas Joly, a "biodynamist" from the very beginning, cultivates with passion and reason a vineyard with mythical slopes, excluding the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and other weed killers. Coulée de Serrant is a top-quality estate, a true figurehead of Loire Valley wines.
