Greywacke
Kevin Judd is one of the pioneering oenologists of the Marlborough region. He has played an active role in the renown of New Zealand wines, notably as cellar master at Cloudy Bay.

In 2009, he created his own estate, which he named Greywacke, in reference to the sandstone subtrate found near the Wairau River and the surrounding vineyards.

At Greywacke, Kevin Judd makes fine, complex wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, some of the finest in the country.

"An emblematic vintage

"With his 25 years at Cloudy Bay, Kevin Judd has played a key role in the worldwide renown of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Today, his Greywacke wines (especially the Wild Sauvignon) are benchmarks in their own right. This elegant, textured vintage brims with lively freshness of pineapple sorbet, elderflower and green mango, with invigorating lime acidity and a creamy passion fruit finish." (Decanter 2023).
