"For half the price of Kupe, Escarpment's single vineyard wine, this is excellent value for one of New Zealand's finest Pinot Noirs. Still young, it needs a little time in a decanter or glass, then opens up to a wine that is both pretty and powerful. Red fruits, tree sap, tar and underlying minerality are wrapped in racy tannins.
