About the wine:
The 2019 Branco is a blend of 40% Arinto, 20% Alvarinho, 15% Azal and Avesso and 10% Lourieiro. It's dry (2.2 grams residual sugar and 6.3 total acidity, with a lower pH than last year's 3.12) and unoaked. There's just a little added gas and 12.9% alcohol. However, you won't really notice the sparkle. What you will notice is a nervous wine with fruit that is lifted by the lovely acidity. It's sappy, youthful and energetic. It's a perfect summer white for sipping on a warm-weather terrace. It's very well made, a great value. In its youth, it surpasses itself. That's what you're looking for in a summer white. Drink it very young, however long it lasts.
