Quinta Do Pessegueiro
Overlooking the Douro River, in the heart of the Douro Valley, the Quinta Do Pessegueiro combines tradition and modernity. Acquired in 1991 by the famous children's fashion designer Roger Zannier, the impressive technological and architectural winery has enabled the quality of the wines from Quinta Do Pessegueiro.

At the helm of this architectural gem, but also of the unique Haut-Douro terroir, are Marc Monrose, also director of Château Saint-Maur in Côtes de Provence, and João Nicolau de Almeida, from a line of well-known local winemakers. Quinta do Pessegueiro is made up of 3 parcels of land with different nuances: Pessegueiro, Teixeira and Afurada. The land and vines are cultivated with respect for tradition and exclusively by hand, using a variety of grape varieties, some of which are endemic to the region.

The technological cellar is built on 3 levels, equipped with an elevator cage to lift the juices and operate by gravity to protect the wine from any shocks. A veritable terroir for reds, the wines produced at Quinta Do Pessegueiro are essentially red: the Aluzé range is available in white and red, the grand cuvée Quinta do Pessegueiro in red only, and finally the superb Ports available in Late Bottle Vintage and Vintage in exceptional years.
