With an unrivalled terroir facing the sea, the Clos Mireille vines benefit from the Côte d'Azur warmth and sea spray, ideal for the development of Sémillon and Rolle. These develop fruity aromas of yellow melon and lemon zest, combined with floral aromas of jasmine and acacia, enhanced by a hint of broom. A white with a silky, velvety texture, between purity and aromatic complexity. A must-have white from Provence!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

A major Provencal wine family, the Ott family entered the wine business with the acquisition of Château de Selle in 1912, Clos Mireille in 1930 and Domaine Romassan in 1956. Taken over by the Roederer group in 2004, the winegrowing activity continues under the leadership of Christian and Jean-François, the Ott cousins, proof that the family remains very much involved and is still a shareholder. The finest cuvées are all rosé and remain, with admirable regularity, among the most successful in Provence.

About the domain :

Alsatian by birth, the Ott family, who moved to Provence in 1896, acquired Romassan in 1956 (70 ha at the foot of Castellet in the Bandol appellation) and also owns Ch. de Selle and Clos Mireille in the Côtes-de-Provence region. Two AOCs and a unique bottle inspired by the Roman amphora. The business (owned by Champagne's Roederer since 2004) is run by cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott.
