"This is a harmoniously expressive wine, with a beautiful aromatic richness and a nose of red fruit and licorice. The ageing is discreet and the palate is well balanced, with just the right natural acidity, suppleness and finesse." (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault & Millau). Here's a true winter rosé, a gourmet wine aged 3 months in barrel that's a perfect match for seasonal scallops and a host of fine, refined dishes!

Estate rated (2016 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

Château Sainte-Roseline is a magnificent property and the Var's leading tourist attraction, with its chapel decorated with frescoes and mosaics by Chagall, Bazaine and Ubac, and a bas-relief by Giacometti. It's a magical place in Provence. The château is in fact an 11th-century abbey founded by a hermit. Roseline, daughter of the Marquis de Villeneuve, Seigneur des Arcs, was Mother Prioress of the Abbey from 1300 to 1329. She was beatified in the 19th century, and her body now lies beneath a glass flask in the chapel. Today, Aurélie Bertin should be sanctified, for she has restored the vineyard, located near Les Arcs-sur-Argens, which covers over 100 hectares. Hospitality is the property's strong point, and tours (with tastings) are organized throughout the year, in a variety of languages.

About the domain :

Surrounding the 11th-century abbey of Sainte-Roseline, and its chapel where the saint's relics rest, this former vineyard of the bishops of Fréjus (where Pope John XXII stayed) stands alongside olive trees and forests on a 90-hectare estate. In 1994, Bernard Teillaud undertook the renovation of the property, and in 2007, his daughter Aurélie Bertin Teillaud took over the estate. One of the eighteen crus classés in Provence and one of the pillars of the appellation, it is often noted for its reds.

About the domain :

Since 1994, Bernard Teillaud, a property developer from Grenoble, has invested a large part of his fortune in creating Sainte-Roseline, a unique setting in Les Arcs-sur-Argens. The 93-hectare vineyard produces beautifully crafted wines in several levels of cuvée: Lampe de Méduse, Prieure and finally La Chapelle, in whites, rosés and reds. The domaine also offers a wide range of vins de négoce. For the past ten years, Aurélie Teillaud has been at the helm of Sainte-Roseline, which she continues to develop and promote worldwide. The latest vintages show that the estate is maintaining its high standards, and is now one of Provence's best-selling estates. The Teilaud family also owns Château des Demoiselles, in La Motte.
