Cuvée only made for great vintages!
"Deeply colored, the
colorful, the Cairanne Marion B. 2015 has a modern touch in its aromas
and flavors of black fruits, sweet oak, chocolate and spices. It
concentrated, medium to full-bodied, with good richness, a solid mid-palate
and a fine finish. It's a good 2015 that's
drinking well today." (Jeb Dunnuck) Give it a try!

A disappointing vintage, despite Jeb Dunnuck's glowing review. Lacking in balance, mainly due to an overly high concentration of over-ripe black fruit and poorly controlled ageing, partly in new oak. The result on the palate is a wine with a robust, very full-bodied structure, heavy and heady. Flavors of blackcurrant and plum, too lively in acidity, as well as excessive spice, especially pepper, do not improve drinkability. Still on the woody side. In my opinion, at nearly €17 a bottle, it's not worth it, either economically or in terms of taste. Score of 2.5. Admittedly, this is harsh, but there are far more harmonious Cairanne wines, particularly from Brusset or Richaud, and even from X. Vignon (La Tempérance). Drank after 1 hour's aeration at 16°, for a Sunday family meal with a royal couscous spiced up with a hint of harissa. Fortunately, the beautiful "Dame Rousse" in Lirac red 2018 and the Tavel rosé 2019 from Domaine de La Mordorée, came to save the day for this quickly forgotten Marion B cuvée.
