"Sumptuous!"
"The white pepper of the stalks accentuates the freshness of the aromas. The wine is full-bodied, but again shows great freshness on the palate, underlined by punchy acidity. The texture is deep, the tannins a little nervous, but this wine has great interest and personality. The notes of cob may be a little too pronounced for those who don't like whole bunch fermentation. Sandy soils and concrete ageing". (Decanter 2021)

About the domain :
Located in the northern part of the Châteauneuf appellation, in the village of Courthezon, this estate, rich in old vines, has belonged to the Charrier family for three generations. The Cristia, Pointu and La Guigasse plots produce the red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 99% Grenache, harvested whole and aged in concrete vats. Caroline is in charge of vinification, while her brother Frédéric looks after the vines. From IGP Vaucluse to Châteauneuf, the style of the wines is convincing.
